STUDENTS MATERIALS LIST

• 2-3 photos of a subject of interest (black & white or color)
These will be source material so should be your originals
We will work with copies made in class.

• cloth – an assortment of light plain or prints, possibly previously dyed fabrics…
minimum size for each piece is 9" x 12"
It should all fit into a 1 gallon plastic bag

• fill a 1 pint plastic bag with small scraps (can be very small) – silks, lace, prints, misc.

• interesting papers, old drawings, junk mail, envelopes, letters, maps, etc.
fit into a 1 gallon plastic bag

• 1 magazine which can be cut-up if needed

• oil pastels, can be old and broken nubs

• quality colored pencils

• Sharpie permanent pen, thick and/or thin; 1 ballpoint; 1 pencil

• mat knife, with removable blades

• cutting mat

• scissors for paper & fabric

• metal ruler, 18" if possible

• pad of plain drawing paper, 14x17 or larger

• sewing kit for hand sewing – scissors, needle, misc. threads

• bone folder if you own one
